Realme  has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphones — the Realme GT8 and GT8 Pro — in China. While both devices look futuristic, the Realme GT8 stands out with its robot-inspired camera module, Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and an enormous 7,000mAh battery. Let’s explore all the details, including the Realme GT8 price in Nepal and what makes it an exciting flagship contender.

Realme GT8 Overview

Design and Display

The Realme GT8 immediately grabs attention with its unique robot-style circular camera module. While the Pro version features a swappable camera design, the standard GT8 sticks to a fixed circular setup that still looks quite striking.

The back is made of “paper-like recycled leather,” actually silicone-based but designed to feel soft and eco-friendly. Realme has also given the GT8 triple dust and water protection with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings — meaning it can even survive submersion up to 2 meters for 30 minutes.

Color options include White, Navy, and Green, each offering a premium matte texture.

Moving to the front, the phone sports a 6.79-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an insane 4,000 nits peak brightness (2,000 nits in HBM mode). This display promises a flagship-level visual experience — bright, fluid, and extremely sharp.

Performance and Battery

Under the hood, the Realme GT8 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset — a new 3nm mobile platform that delivers impressive AI and gaming performance. It’s paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring ultra-fast multitasking and app loading times.

The phone ships with Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16, bringing updated animations, improved privacy features, and foldable optimization.

Powering all this is a massive 7,000mAh battery, making it one of the largest capacities on any flagship smartphone. It supports 100W SuperVOOC charging, which can fully charge the device in about 45 minutes. While it’s slightly slower than the GT7’s 120W, the huge battery easily compensates for it.

Cameras

The Realme GT8 features a triple rear camera setup co-engineered with Ricoh GR, a legendary camera brand known for its optics.

  • 50MP main sensor with OIS

  • 50MP periscope telephoto lens (3.5x optical zoom, OIS)

  • 8MP ultrawide camera

The telephoto lens offers up to 3.5x optical zoom, while Ricoh’s collaboration brings double AR coating and a 5-layer ultra-low anti-reflective mirror, reducing glare to just 0.2%. The device also includes five Ricoh GR film tones for photographers who love vintage or cinematic color styles.

On the front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera housed inside a small hole-punch cutout.

Connectivity and Features

Connectivity-wise, the Realme GT8 checks all boxes — 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, IR sensor, and USB-C with OTG.

It also has an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, dual SIM support, and all essential sensors like gyroscope, proximity, and compass.

Final Thoughts

The Realme GT8 is an impressive blend of futuristic design, solid performance, and massive battery life. Its robot-like camera layout, premium build, and Ricoh-tuned optics make it one of the most unique flagships of 2025.
